The Veterinary Emergency Center has added additional radiology services to its existing digital radiology, CT and ultrasound facilities at our Cary Street location. Having Dr. Kevin Winegardner a board-certified radiologist allows us to provide the best available interpretations of our state-of-the-art digital radiographs, ultrasounds and CT scans immediately on-site. Dr. Winegardner can work in conjunction with any of the several other services offered at the VEC to speed the transition from diagnosis to treatment. In addition, you pet’s primary veterinarian can send existing radiographs to the VEC to be interpreted by our radiologist. You can schedule an appointment for advance imaging procedures by having your pet referred to us by its primary care veterinarian.
You may find need of imaging services when:
Your pet has signs of chronic illness, metabolic disease or problems with major internal organs (kidney, liver, lungs, ect.)
Your pet requires diagnostic evaluation or procedures leading up to a surgery.
Your pet has medical problems that may require ultrasound, CT or radiographically guided procedure (such as aspirate or biopsy) performed by board-certified internal specialists.
Your Veterinarian may or may not be aware of these and other special services offered by the VEC. Please work with them to find the best possible treatment options for you beloved companion.
