Richmond SPCA Dog Jog:
Richmond SPCA Foster Care Program:
The Friends of Richmond K9 was created as a 501(c)3 not-for-profit foundation to facilitate educational opportunities, raise awareness of Police K9s and their activity/accomplishments, foster community support of Police dogs and K9 Officers, and provide assistance in meeting the needs of retired active duty Police dogs. Without your contributions we can’t help the K9 Unit. Your contributions go directly to assisting the K9 Unit in various ways such as training, equipment and more. There are several ways to donate, which can be seen on the “Contact Us” page.
The VESC has partnered with the Richmond Animal Care & Control to provide after hours emergency and critical care to the stray animals of Richmond.
How Can You Help:
Volunteer –Volunteers who work directly with the animals can increase an animal’s chances of adoption by providing additional human contact. Volunteers also help us inform the community of the philosophy of RAC&C and promote responsible pet ownership.Become a Foster Parent –A foster home is a temporary living situation for pets in our program while they are awaiting placement in a permanent home or to move into one of our overnight adoption programs. Foster families provide shelter, food, care and love. The number of animals we can save depends entirely on the number of people who open their homes and hearts to foster them.
